Can
your Contact Spyder product extract from the web any faster
than it does?
Within
the settings menu you are able to turn down the delay
setting to increase speed a bit, but Contact Spyder was
designed purposely to have a slight delay. The slight
delay is hard coded so that it will not be a burden on
the online yellow pages sites it extracts from.
What
is the advantage of using Contact
Spyder over the precompiled business lists you offer?
Contact
Spyder extracts live from the internet yellow page listing
sites and/or other directories. The data is as current
as the yellow page listings are. Contact Spyder also
allows you to customize your search and extract a particular
city or category. Also, you can extract from USA and
Canada. Contact Spyder is the tool to use for the most
up to date listings.

see you have business lists available for sale. If
I purchase can I publish these in my own online directory?

How can you offer them so inexpensively?
Quite
easily actually. We extract the lists ourselves with
our own product
Contact
Spyder.
We sort and parse them in-house which saves money. We
do not have a huge team of "telemarketers"
that verify each of the 20+ million listings. Plus we
sell them only on the internet passing on the savings
directly to you!
What
formats does your data come in?
For the
most part our data is in
text
format(CSV), which is the most common format. It
can easily be
imported into Excel,
Word, MS Access, Act or most other applications without any problems.
Within
Contact Spyder
we go a step further and you may actually define the
delimiter(comma, colon...etc).
How
do I import the data into Microsoft's Excel or Microsoft's
Word?
This
can be done pretty easily. We have setup example pages
on how to do this

How
can I use your data and print out labels for mailing?
The easiest
way to do this is to use Microsoft's Word. More information

How
can I sort the data so that I may use it the way I want?

I
notice your Business list CD contains over 20 million business
listings. I didn't think there were that many businesses
in the USA. What gives?
Our
business CD is separated via State and Categories.
Most of the businesses are in multiple categories
(for example Painters and Contractors). This allows
you to fine tune categories but does allow duplicates
within the entire CD.
I
can not get your lists to import properly with Excel
or Microsoft's word, even after following your instructions
within your helpful tips
page. Can you help?
Most
likely it is a delimiter problem. Some of the data
that is extracted with Contact Spyder contains a
comma within it's field. We recommend changing the
delimiter to something other than a comma.. for
example a colon or semicolon";". This
will allow data that has commas to be easily imported
into mail merge and Excel. Our
Business
CD's are extracted this way and are easy to
manipulate.
Do
you have a more recent version of your data? I can't
seem to find it online...
Yes
we probably do! We do not list all our data online,
as we are constantly mining more data from the web
and can mine it for you as well.
